problems with expandable blocks on the palette area [FIXED]

Post by emodrow » Nov 28th, '15, 17:12

palette Color: if you expand color(rgb)-block to alpha, you can't switch back to rgb only due to overlapping with next block right.

palette Numbers: the same with blocks +, *, round

It would be better if these blocks only could be expanded in the script-area.

Why don't you use predicate-blocks in GP? It is a great feature in Scratch ...

Thanks for reporting this.

It is sometimes convenient to preview optional block parameters right in the palette, but I agree that it's a problem when the expanded block goes behind another block. This is fixed in v044 by having the newly expanded block come to the front, allowing the user to see all the optional keywords and parameters. It also ensures that the collapse arrow can be clicked.

Also in v044, the 'delete' menu command no longer appears for blocks in the palette. That avoids the possibility of deleting a block from the palette.

Incidentally, a useful trick to reset the blocks palette is to re-select the current category. That resets all blocks to their original state.
