Remove shadowing/bevelling on text

it looks to me as if GP is shadowing or bevelling the text on blocks and I don't think the size of the writing is big enough to support this
Good eye! I'll experiment to see if removing the beveling on the text helps.
Do you have a retina display or normal resolution? I have a retina display and I think the beveling is less noticeable on that, or it might even look a bit nicer. However, its not good if it makes the blocks harder to read on non-retina displays.
